The buying process
The process to buy property in Portugal is similar to UK:

  • Agree the price with the seller

  • Instruct Portugal lawyer to make the usual checks:

    • Property must have a “Habitation Licence” (don’t buy a property without this licence).

    • The deeds must be registered to the seller.

    • Make an inventory of the contents of the property if these are to be included in the purchase.

  • Proceed to ‘promissary contract’ (exchange of contract) pay 10% deposit, agreed completion date.

Casa Dona Tina, Five bedroom Vila, fully furnished; is owned by a Delaware (USA) Company; a share purchase agreement is offered at €895,000 (Euros).
